Quote of the day: “Some days I just feel like doing a happy dance…for no apparent reason, just because…because I think my life is awesome.”- me

September was a good, but challenging month. Between starting up school, learning how to milk a Jersey cow then attempting to help that same cow recover from an awful case of Pneumonia, hosting our last church field day, celebrating birthday parties, processing chickens, spending time with friends and family, sickness, sleepovers, grocery shopping, helping my parents with running the house, and selling our farm products, I have stayed quite busy. Below is a collage of some pictures from beautiful September-we couldn't have received more amazing weather than we did! (click on the photos to make them larger)
Ah-good times! Looking forward to what the month of October holds!
Now off to enjoy some Harney and Sons tea!

We went to a summer dance.

Last week our family went to the beach for a day along with several other friends from church. It was a very enjoyable time had by all as we climbed the big sand dune, played volleyball, tried out sand-boarding, ate chips and onion dip, and froze our toes in the ocean.
Good times.

It’s kind of tradition at our household to go down to Deadwood, where my grandpa lives, every summer and help him put up his hay. The highlights of the trip this year included...

-the car ride down
-fun times spent with cousins
-sugar…lots of sugar.
-lots of hay, sweat, and grime
-a visit to the beach
-laughter
-walks
-etc.

Our 4th of July this year was filled with a delicious waffle breakfast, volleyball, fireworks, laughter, walks in the sunshine, fellowshipping with friends, and red licorice. Yay!
Hope you all had a wonderful 4th!
