Wow-it's been too long. And so much has happened in my life this summer. Unfortunately, as a result of that, I kind of dropped of the side of the blog-o-sphere world. But I have returned and this time with not a whole lot of words, but pictures. Yay-pictures speak a thousand words anyways, right? ;) I'll try to cover July-October as best I can for ya'll in this "little" slideshow!
What a crazy busy summer we had! Although I'm sorta sad to see the sunshine go, I'm really looking forward to the cool fall weather and hoping it brings a little rest and relaxation with it. :) What was the biggest highlight of your summer?

Our spring break this year was great. Yes, we worked a lot during it on farm projects, but it was great fun as we...
 #1) accomplished a lot
#2) spent a lot of time together as a family
#3) ate a ton of delicious food
#4) watched fun movies almost every night
& #5) Made tons of new memories

So sad that it's over.
Here's a picture of one of our big projects of the week (painting the shed behind our house). Amazing what a little paint and elbow grease can do!

What an improvement!

What did you do for Spring Break this year?

This past Wednesday, March 6th, we had to put our faithful Jersey (Jenny) down. She’s always had bad health problems (since before we even got her), but as of this past Monday came down with pneumonia that caused her so much pain that she refused to eat or drink.

Although it was hard to say goodbye Maria and I are thankful for all the things we learned along the way while we had her. She was a good cow.
Goodbye Jenny.

February. The month of many happenings.
Beethoven's 9th Symphony with friends
A Valentine's Day Tea
Caleb and I hung out with our cousin on Valentine's Day (or should I call it...Singles Awareness Day? ;))
Birthday celebration (for my two oldest siblings-Sarah and Joe)
And besides that...just life. Life on our farm.
How's your February been thus far?

On Sunday my little nephew Henry turned two. So Camden and Sarah hosted a fun little birthday celebration for him. The celebration/day included delicious food prepared by Sarah, a fun Sunday afternoon walk, watching Henry open his gifts, and much more.
Also, the other day I went out and took some pictures of our garden which, thanks to my brother Caleb, is doing wonderful!
All for now. How's your summer been so far?

Chicken- yum. ;) Last week I went outside and took some pictures of our Cornish Cross Broilers for our website before we processed them on Saturday. I was pretty happy with how they turned out. The lighting was almost perfect!
